This rear strata block facing onto a laneway in the heart of North Perth accommodates 3 bedrooms, a study, 2 bathrooms, open plan dining living and kitchen, a sitting room, double garage, workshop, and pool despite a lot size of 215m2.
The budget driven house was designed as a combination of insitu and modular construction. The ground floor living area is constructed of mason face block whilst the upper floor bedrooms zone is a lightweight framing system which allows the client the option of using insitu or modular construction for this component.
An above ground rather than at ground pool was incorporated into the house to eradicate the need for extra area for paving and a pool fence. This was essential as the restricted lot size would otherwise not have been capable of housing a pool without sacrificing large areas of the house.
