Concept for Adaptable Sustainable House

One of our recent projects was the development of a concept for adaptable infill housing. The design of the house allows it to be adapted to smaller sites, and also to suit the needs of older couples or small families. The project includes passive sustainable design principles as one of its key priorities. Some of these include the carefully selected orientation and framing material of the windows, double glazing, use of cross-flow ventilation, the Bernoulli effect, a heat exchange unit and ceiling fans. In addition, the house has also been designed to be able to be built with prefabricated wall panels, for time savings and increased quality control.
